LAHORE, Sept 7: The senior most deposed judge of the Lahore High Court, Justice Khwaja Sharif is likely to be elevated to the Supreme Court, a TV channel reported on Sunday.

It said the judge might take oath (in the SC) on Monday (today).

Talking to Dawn, Kh Sharif said he had not yet received such an offer.

Asked what would be his reaction if such an offer was made to him? “I will decide there and then,” he said.

Answering another question, he said when a high court judge was elevated to the Supreme Court, he had to take a fresh oath. “So the issue of fresh oath does not arise.”
