Inbox register win in AKU T20 cricket


KARACHI, Sept 6: Inbox Cricket Club registered a two-wicket victory over Saudi Pak Bank in the fourth Aga Khan University (AKU) Twenty20 Ramazan cricket tournament at the AKU Ground here on Friday.

Batting first, Saudi Pak scored 121 for loss of seven wickets in 20 overs. Mohammad Farhan contributed with an unbeaten 47 with three fours and one six.

Mohammad Asim grabbed three wickets for 21 runs.

In reply, Inbox CC chased the target for loss of eight wickets in 19.4 overs.

Akhtar scored a fighting unbeaten 33 with two boundaries.

In another match, Medicam Cricket Club inflicted a seven-wicket defeat on Aga Khan Gymkhana Blues.

AKG Blues batting first were bundled out for 88 in 19.2 overs as left-arm spinner Khalid Butt claimed three wickets for 18 runs in four overs.

Shahid Ali Khan scored 35 laced with four boundaries.

Medicam CC in reply reached the target in 15th over for the loss of three wickets.

Both Naeem Ahmed Khan and Osama Khan hit 35 each.
