Sami excels in KG Ramzan Cricket

KARACHI, Sept 5: Talented Muhammad Sami Junior smashed an unbeaten half century to power defending champion Medicam Cricket Club to their second win in 23rd Karachi Gymkhana Ramzan State Life Cup Twenty20 Cricket Tournament as they beat Dewan Farooq Motors by three wickets at KG Ground here on Friday.

After a bright start, Medicam were in trouble, needing 50 runs in the last fives overs but Sami batted intelligently to see his team through despite Hanif Malik’s three wickets.

Earlier, Dewan Motors could muster 129-8 in their 20 overs. Waqas Haroon hit a 36-ball 37 with four boundaries and one six and Adnan Kaleem contributed an unbeaten 31 in 23 deliveries with a couple of boundaries.

Zeeshan Aziz excelled with the leather for Medicam CC, capturing three wickets for 27 runs.
