Rs6.5m for Bajaur DPs

ISLMABAD, Sept 4: The House Business Advisory Committee’s meeting was informed on Thursday that Rs6.5 million had been deposited in the Speaker’s Relief Fund set up for the help of internally displaced persons of Bajaur and Mohmand agencies in the NWFP.

The meeting chaired by Speaker Dr Fehmida Mirza was told that more amount would be deposited in the coming weeks.

The meeting among other things discussed the agenda and ways to run the proceedings of seventh session of the National Assembly during which presidential poll will also be held at the Assembly Hall on Saturday.

Representatives of all the parliamentary parties gave their proposals regarding running the house.

The meeting also discussed security matters of the Parliament House.

It was decided that the culture of displaying of security passes by the members of the parliament would be encouraged.
