KARACHI, Sept 4: Three ships carrying containers, wheat and diesel oil were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Thursday.

Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, San Andres, Orient-II, Mustafa Bay, Shinyo Integrity, Bow Hunter, AI-Salam-II and Gem of Rozi, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, palm oil, diesel oil and coke.

A cargo volume of 83,830 tons comprising 73,801 tons of import and 10,029 tons of export tonnage was handled.

San Andres and Gem of Rozi sailed out while AI-Salam-II and Bow Hunter were expected to leave the port.
