Ali Hai wins Captain’s Cup Golf

KARACHI, Sept 2: Seasoned golfer Mohammad Ali Hai won the amateurs gross title (main event) in the annual Captain’s Cup which concluded at the Karachi Golf Club course on Sunday.

Ali fired 75 to top the 18-hole competition.

Cdr. Ansar Mahmood of Pakistan Navy finished a stroke behind to attain the runner-up slot.

Sponsored by current Captain of the KGC, Ahmed Abdul Bari, the competition attracted a large number of entries in different categories.

Mr Abdullah Hussain Haroon who graced the occasion paid glowing tributes to the members of the club for upholding traditions of the game and the club.

Meanwhile, the Sindh Golf Association (SGA) presented a cash prize of Rs10,000 to Ali Sher for scoring hole-in-one in the Governor’s Cup recently.

Veterans:

Seniors:

Winner (Gross) Handicap 0-10 Zulfiqar Shah; Runner-up (Gross) Handicap 11-18 Aftab A. Khan.

Winner (Gross) Haroon R. Kahlon Runner-up (Gross) Zahir A. Chaudhry; Winner (Net) Rehan Mirza; Runner-up (Net) Naeem Durrani.

Amateurs:

Winner (Gross) Handicap 0-6 Asad I. A. Khan; Winner (Gross) Handicap 7-12 Zahir A. Chaudhry; Winner (Gross) Handicap 13-18 Arif Usmani.

Amateurs – main event:
