LAHORE, Sept 2: Jamaat Ahle Hadith (JAH) President Senator Prof Sajid Mir has said the Pakistan People’s Party should postpone the presidential election to end the growing political instability and fulfill the promises made to the people.
Talking to newsmen after return from his foreign tour here on Tuesday, he said quitting of coalition government by Mian Nawaz Sharif due to failure of PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari had pushed both the political parties into a situation of confrontation.
The PPP should postpone the presidential election in view of the growing political instability which would benefit establishment forces at home and abroad. He said Asif Ali Zardari had tarnished the image of his party by his failure to honour promises made to the PML-N. He said his party would support Justice Saeeduzaman Siddiqi for presidency.
