HYDERABAD, Sept 2: Ahmed Mohammad Kazi, former principal of Sindh Law College and a contemporary of Allama I.I. Kazi, died at his Civil Lines residence here on Tuesday. He was 94.

He leaves behind wife, five sons and six daughters.

His burial will be held on Wednesday after one of his sons, Mohammad Ahmed Kazi, returns from Hague where he is working as senior coordinator of Organisation of Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. He will be laid to rest on the premises of the shrine of Makki Shah.

A known advocate and educationist, Mr Kazi was known in social and literary circles during his life and was an associate of Dr Ghulam Mustafa Shah and Dr Nabi Bux Khan Baloch. He translated an Arabic book, Mina-i-Mustafa”, authored by Pir Sibaghatullah Irani, into English.

Late Kazi remained the chairman of Diplo town committee and had been instrumental in laying underground drainage system there. He was also among the founders of the Sindh University Model School at its old campus.
