NAUSHAHRO FEROZE: Couple feels danger to lives

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Sept 2: A newly-married couple who had converted from Christianity to Islam complained on Tuesday of receiving threats from Bhirya Road police and some influential people of the area.

Mohammad Nasir and Samina Bibi told journalists at a press conference that they were cousins and they had embraced Islam at Islami Madresah Bhirya Road about a week ago.

They said that since the day they had married according to Sharia Mohammadi, Samina’s father, Inayat Masih, had been trying to get them kidnapped through police and some criminals.

They said that their lives were in danger because they were receiving threats from influential people of the area and appealed to district administration to provide them protection.

ACCIDENT: A minor girl was crushed to death by a speeding trailer at Noorpur bus stop on the National Highway on Tuesday.

The trailer hit Pervezan,

8, when she was crossing the highway. She died on the spot.

Villagers sitting at the bus stop hotels caught the driver and handed him over to police. No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.
