RAWALPINDI, Aug 31: A suspected suicide bomber, who was arrested by the police and was supposed to strike during the mayhem in the aftermath of the suicide bombings outside the Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) Wah on August 21, will be produced before the judge of the Anti-Terrorist Court on Monday, Dawn has learnt.

The two suicide bombers, who struck at the gates of POF in the high security zone of Wah, killed at least 70 people, have been identified as Murad and Sowrat Khan.

A senior official confirmed that two other colleagues of the suicide bombers were Hameedullah of Khyber Agency who was arrested, and Bakhtiar who is still at large.

Bakhtiar, the fourth suspected suicide bomber, who was supposed to strike at the second gate of POF Wah soon after the first attack, disappeared after seeing the bloodshed.

The official said Hameedullah had disclosed during interrogation that two bombers had to strike - one followed by the other - at one gate of the POF. But the two panicked after seeing the bloodshed. Hameedullah revealed that they came to Wah twice in a week, first to see the target and then to strike.

The source said Hameedullah and Bakhtiar were supposed to blow themselves up during the chaos that followed the suicide bombings at each gates of the POF, but they changed their mind after seeing that none of the people coming out of the gate were foreigners.
