LAHORE, Aug 31: Pakistan thrashed arch rivals India 3-0 to win the bronze medal in the 14th Asian Junior Men’s Volleyball championship at Azadi Sport Complex in Tehran, Iran, on Sunday.

It was victory well deserved for Pakistan, who completed the win with the score line of 25-12, 25-11, 25-20, to gain the third position.

In the first set, Pakistan’s ace spikers Zaheer Khan and Mohib Rasool played a major role in snatching an easy win from their rivals to get themselves on to a perfect start.

The second set was also dominated by Pakistan who won it by a wide margin doubling the lead.

In the third and final set, India, however, showed their presence and fought till 25-20 before losing, finally.
