JI Kashmir rally’s message to govt

By Our Reporter

LAHORE, Aug 31: Jamaat-i-Islami Amir Qazi Husain Ahmed has urged the government to stop war with people and prepare the armed forces to fight against the enemy instead.

Addressing a rally organised by the Jamaat from Mansoora to Multan Road Chungi on Sunday to express solidarity with the Kashmiris, he said the rulers were antagonising the people for pleasing the US and had demoralised the armed forces by making it fight its own tribes.

Hizbul Mujahideen deputy supreme commander Javed Kasuri led the rally along with Jamaat leaders.

He said the Kashmiris had started their freedom struggle once again despite continued suppression by the Indian forces. Syed Ali Gilani was leading the freedom struggle despite illness.

He said people of Pakistan supported the freedom struggle of Kashmiris but their rulers were depositing their wealth with European banks and were acquiring assets abroad.

He said Kashmiris had foiled Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s attempt to hand over the property of Amarnath Shrine Board to Hindus for settlement but Pakistani rulers had accepted India as a superpower like US and were bowing before it.
