Soldier appeals for brother’s release

NAWABSHAH, Aug 30: An army solder has demanded of the PPO of Sindh and other senior police officers to get released his brother from illegal detention of the A-section police and has urged strict action against the SHO.

Talking to journalists at Nawabshah Press Club on Saturday, Mohammed Ishaq said that he was a soldier in Pakistan Army and posted in Pano Akil cantonment.

He said that he was returning to Nawabshah from his village with his brother Mohammed Farooq and cousin Mohammed Hussain on Friday and when they reached at Trey water on Sanghar road, they were stopped by the SHO of A-section police, Sarwar Zardari and were asked to identify themselves.

He said that as they took out their national identity cards, the SHO ordered policemen for their arrest and when he asked the reason, the police started beating them as a result of which he fell unconscious.

He said the police left him on the spot in unconscious state and took his brother and cousin.

He said when they approached for their release, the police demanded huge bribe and on their refusal his cousin was challaned in false cases whereas his brother was still missing.
