KARACHI, Aug 29: The Habib Bank Workers Front (HBWB) won the referendum held on Friday to choose the collective bargaining agents of the bank’s employees. The

Front beat present CBA Habib Bank Employees Federation (BHEF) and the United Workers Front (UWF).

Of about 3,600 eligible workers, 2,500 cast their votes, 1,250 in favour of the HBWF and 1,125 for HBEF. The UWF bagged nearly 100. The HBWF is led by Zafar Iqbal and the HBEF by Mohammad Ali Memon.—Staff Reporter
