KARACHI, Aug 29: Five ships carrying containers and to load cement are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Saturday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where four ships, Tenth Ocean, Soon Fu to unload and load containers, Industrial Dawn to offload and load general cargo and Sapphire –T, an oil tanker.

But on the other hand sailing was active as seven ships, APL Jabel Ali, APL Shenzhen, Kota Ekspres, Soon Fu, H. H. Trade, Mir Damad, and Sunrise Acacia departed on Friday, while Johar, Sapphire T, Tenth Ocean, Don Franc Bulic, Sea Bloom, Rhoneborg, Industrial Dawn, Neptune and New Delhi Express are due to sail out on Saturday.A total tonnage of 69,659 tons comprising 35,750 tons of export cargo and 33,909 tons of imports was handled on Friday.

The following ships are due on Saturday: Conti Valencia, Y. M. Inauguration, Bunga Teratai, and Bavaria Express.
