Fourth India-SL ODI rained off

COLOMBO, Aug 26: The fourth One-day International between India and Sri Lanka at the Premadasa Stadium was called off without a ball being bowled due to rain here on Tuesday.

The match will now be played on Wednesday — as provisions have been made for an extra day.Light rain began to fall 90 minutes before the scheduled start time of 0900 GMT and persisted steadily, forcing the umpires to abandon the match at 1230 GMT.

The hosts posted an eight-wicket win in the opening match in Dambulla.—Agencies
