Hashim Khan honoured
WASHINGTON, Aug 25: Squash legend Hashim Khan was decorated with Sitara-i-Imtiaz in recognition of his illustrious achievements for Pakistan.
The investiture ceremony took place in Denver, Colorado, where the seven-time British Open champion now resides. It was attended by hundreds of people including Americans, Pakistani expatriates, children and grandchildren of Hashim Khan.
Eulogizing Hashim Khan’s achievements, Pakistan ambassador Hussain Haqqani recalled that he won coveted British Open title for the first time at age of 37.—PPI
