PROTEST: A large number of people took out a procession in Qambar on Monday to protest against prolonged power outage.

Chanting slogans and carrying banners and placards, they marched from the cricket ground and after marching on different roads they staged a sit-in at the Martyrs’ Square.

They said Hesco was regularly carrying out 10-15 hours loadshedding in Qambar town and its adjacent areas. It had not only made peoples life miserable but also affected business activities, they added.

They said Hesco was also sending inflated power bills. The burnt transformers were not being replaced further aggravating the situation they said and called for reducing the loadshedding duration.
