LARKANA: Asifa visits mother’s grave

LARKANA, Aug 25: Asifa Bhutto-Zardari, daughter of late Benazir Bhutto, arrived in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto from Karachi on Monday along with the Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfikar Mirza and Minister for Local Bodies Agha Siraj Durrani.

She was taken from the Moenjodaro airport to Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto amid tight security. She laid wreaths and offered Fateha at the graves of late Z.A. Bhutto, Benazir Bhutto, Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto.

She stayed there for some time and then went to the Naudero House.

PROTEST: A large number of people took out a procession in Qambar on Monday to protest against prolonged power outage.

Chanting slogans and carrying banners and placards, they marched from the cricket ground and after marching on different roads they staged a sit-in at the Martyrs’ Square.

They said Hesco was regularly carrying out 10-15 hours loadshedding in Qambar town and its adjacent areas. It had not only made peoples life miserable but also affected business activities, they added.

They said Hesco was also sending inflated power bills. The burnt transformers were not being replaced further aggravating the situation they said and called for reducing the loadshedding duration.
