Zardari’s nomination PPP’s blunder: JI

LAHORE, Aug 24: Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) secretary-general Syed Munawwar Hassan has said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) has committed a blunder by nominating its co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari to run for presidency.

Talking to JI deputy information secretary Muhammad Anwar Niazi from London on telephone on Sunday, he said that Zardari was the most unsuitable person for the office of the president because a number of cases of corruption and money laundering pending against him had been withdrawn under the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO). — Reporter
