Jirga settles karo-kari dispute

JACOBABAD, Aug 23: A jirga was held at Hafizullah Khoso village in Kandhkot on Saturday to resolve a karo-kari dispute between two parties of Khoso clan.

UC Nazim Noorullah Khoso presided over the jirga proceedings.

The parties involved in the dispute, Arz Mohammad Khoso and Jan Mohammad Khoso and their relatives, were present in the

jirga.

The UC nazim after listening to both parties, imposed a fine of Rs310,000 on Arz Mohammad, who would pay the fine to the people of Jan Mohammad.

Arz Mohammad will pay Rs50,000 immediately and the remaining amount will be payable in three monthly instalments.

Both the parties accepted the decision after which sweets were distributed among the participants.
