KKH reopens

GILGIT, Aug 22: Karakuram Highway was reopened on Friday for all kinds of traffic after it was cleared of boulder that had blocked the road at Tero point of Kohistan, Frontier Works Organization (FWO) said.

FWO said due to heavy rains on Thursday night huge boulder fell on the road. Meanwhile, Northern Area Transport Corporation said its Rawalpindi-Gilgit service is continued.

Due to inclement weather the Gilgit-Islamabad flight operations of Pakistan International Airlines have been suspended.— Correspondent
