Karachi, Aug 22: Two container ships were accommodated berths during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Friday.

Meanwhile, two more ships to load/offload cement and containers also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Seven ships, NYK Cosmos, AI-Manakh, Christina, Leopard-B, Provider, Eastern Tera and Hellenic Horizon, were busy in loading and unloading containers, cement, wheat, chemicals and iron ore.

A cargo volume of 36,924 metric tons comprising 23,047 tons of import and 13,877 tons of export tonnage was handled.
