JI demands trial of Musharraf

SANGHAR, Aug 18: Jamaat-i-Islami has demanded trial of Gen (Retd) Pervez Musharraf. The party organised a rally at Tando Adam and distributed sweets.

District Ameer of JI, Abdul Aziz Ghori and Mushtaq Ahmed Adil, demanded trial under article 6 of the Constitution and also registration of a murder case against him for murdering Nawab Akbar Bugti and criminal cases about missing persons for which, they alleged, Pervez Musharraf was responsible.

They said that no safe exit should be provided to him. He is accountable for all misdeeds in the country for imposing others wars’ on the country.

The JI leaders accused him of being responsible for flour, petrol, price hike, steel mills scandals besides handing over Aafia Siddiqui to the United States.

It demanded to make him an example for the future dictators to think twice before toppling the democratic governments and derailing the democratic process.
