Nomad caught kidnapping child

TOBA TEK SINGH, Aug 17: Some people of Kamalia overpowered a nomad while he was fleeing with an infant he had picked up from a locality on Sunday.

Reports said three nomads were begging in a street where three minors were playing. As they picked up an 18-month-old boy and started running out of the street, the other children raised hue and cry which made some people chase the kidnappers. They caught one of the fleeing lads and recovered from him the child.

Later, they beat up the beggar and handed him over to the city police.

SUICIDES: Joblessness made a young farmer’s son commit suicide on Sunday.

Nadeem, 19, son of Manzoor (of Chak 369-JB, Gojra), took poison and died before he could be taken to hospital.

Meanwhile, another youth committed suicide at Chak 379-JB due to prolonged ailment. Nadeem, a father of an infant, took poison in a fit of depression for not recovering from illness.

ARREST: The city police claimed on Sunday to having arrested one of the killers of a brick kiln labourer of Chak 324-JB, Paira.The police said Falaksher, who was murdered on Saturday near Teku Canal, had got arrested two accused of Jhang, Zulfiqar and Gulsher. They shot dead the labourer to exact revenge.
