Two deposed judges to retire by Oct


ISLAMABAD, Aug 16: Two deposed judges of the Supreme Court – Justice Falak Sher and Justice Syed Jamshed Ali Shah – will retire at the age of 65 on Sept 22 and Oct 1, respectively.

According to the Supreme Court record, Justice Falak Sher was elevated as judge of the Lahore High Court on March 11, 1987.

He was born on Sept 22, 1943. After completing his B.A., LL.B. and Barrister-at-Law, he started practice in 1966.

He was elevated as judge of the Supreme Court on

Sept 6, 2002.

According to the record, Justice Jamshed joined service as PCS (Executive Branch) in February, 1969 and resigned on Sept 10, 1979. He was elevated as judge of the Lahore High Court on May 21, 1998.

He was born on Oct 1, 1943. After completing his B.A. and LL.B, he started practice in 1964. He continued his practice from 1964 to 1968 and from 1979 to 1998.

He was elevated as judge of the Supreme Court on Sept 14, 2005.—APP
