JI observes black day

Published August 16, 2008

LAHORE, Aug 15: The Jamaat-i-Islami observed a black day on Friday against martyrdom of Sheikh Abdul Aziz and other Kashmiris in firing by Indian forces.

The Jamaat organised demonstrations at Mansoora and other big cities on the appeal of Kashmiri leader Syed Ali Gilani to condemn the Indian state terrorism in held Kashmir.

Addressing the demonstrators at Mansoora, Jamaat’s acting amir Munawwar Hasan said India was committing excesses against Kashmiri Muslims, but ‘Indian and US agents’ were trying to strengthen friendship with it. Neither any human rights organisation nor the rulers had bothered to utter a word against Indian excesses.
