Woman relates two-year nightmare in captivity

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 15: A young girl, Ms Parveen who was kidnapped from Khahi Jalalji village some two years ago reached her home along with a one-and-half year old son.

The father of Parveen, Mohammad Ramzan Rajpar, a resident of Khahi Jalalji village near Padidan, lodged an FIR with Padidan police station on Friday.

According to the FIR and what Ms Parveen told journalists, she was kidnapped by some men -- Nazir, son of Ghulam Rasool; Banho, son of Khizer; Ghulam Rasool, son of Zaheer; Ghulam Murtaza, son of Nazir; Wajid, son of Ghulam Hyder; and Gul Mohammad alias Gulo, son of Nawab -- two years ago.

The woman claimed that the kidnappers kept her in detention in Karachi and sexually assaulted her for about one month and after that they sold her to a man named Hameed, a resident of the Punjab.

Ms Parveen further alleged that Hameed kept her for about a month and he sexually assaulted her.

She told journalists that she managed to escape from Hameed’s captivity and reached Chiniot where another man, Hakeem, kept her in confinement.He also sexually assaulted her as a result of which she became pregnant and gave birth to a child.

She said that she managed to escape from there and reached her parents’ house.

Her father has lodged an FIR under Section 452, 365(b) of Women Protection Act, 376, 371-A, 344, 148 and 149 of PPC with Padidan police against above mentioned seven accused.

However, no arrest was made till the filing of this report.

MOTORCYCLE SNATCHED: A man was deprived of his motorbike, cellphone and Rs25,000 cash by three armed men on Tharushah-Dalipota link road on Friday.

The three dacoits intercepted Arz Mohammad on Tharushah-Dalipota link road and snatched his motorbike, cellphone and Rs25,000 cash and escaped.

However, some Baladi tribesmen and others followed the culprits but the dacoits disappeared in sugarcane field.

Police constables, on patrol, rushed to the scene but their motorbike slipped on the way as a result of which constable Nazir Channa got injured.

The injured constable was taken to RHC Tharushah.

In the meantime, the people surrounded the sugarcane field to apprehend the culprits but the culprits managed to escape leaving the motorcycle in the field.

The motorcycle was handed over to police. No FIR was lodged till the filing of this report.

DROWNED: A 22-year-old man, Aijaz Ali, drowned in Chandan wah near Kandiaro in the jurisdiction of Bago Dero police station on Friday.He was swimming in the canal.
