Horse owner warned-off

Published August 15, 2008

KARACHI, Aug 14: The administrator of the Karachi Race Club (KRC) Haji Khuda Bux Rajar has warned-off owner Syed Ali Gohar Shah for a month on Thursday which makes him and his horses ineligible to enter the premises, officials told Dawn.

The decision was also announced on the public address system after the said owner allegedly manhandled the administrator in the racecourse premises.

After the brawl, the administrator had brought the incident to the attention of KRC patron Pir Pagara, who, according to an official, advised him to warn-off the said owner. The owner could not be reached for comments.—AZ
