ISLAMABAD Aug 14: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari has asked the party workers to spread out in Punjab and help in the rehabilitation of flood-affected people, particularly in Rajanpur where rains have caused losses on a large-scale.

In a statement issued from the party’s Media Office here on Thursday, the PPP co-chairman said the reports of damages due to floods in the province, particularly in Rajanpur, had saddened him and asked the party workers to come to the rescue of the affected people

“I urge the party leadership and cadres to spread out in the affected areas and set up relief camps and extend all possible material and moral support to the victims,” he said, adding that the victims should not feel abandoned in their hour of plight and misery.

Mr Zardari also sympathised with the victims and families who lost their loved ones during the floods.
