HYDERABAD, Aug 14: Professor (Dr) Sagheer Ahmed Shaikh of Institute of Food Sciences and Technology of Sindh Agriculture University Tandojam has been awarded the best teacher cash award of Rs100,000 for the year 2007 by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan.

The award was conferred on Professor Shaikh by HEC Chairman Dr Attaur Rehman at a ceremony held in Islamabad on Wednesday.

GIRL KIDNAP: Ms Meena Kolhi and her supporters staged a protest demonstration outside Tando Allahyar Press Club on Thursday against her alleged tormentor Mannu Bheel.

Talking to reporters, she said her 15-year-old daughter Leela had been kidnapped.
