KARACHI, Aug 13: Seven ships carrying containers and to load ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was active where six ships, Northern Harmony, APL Cairo, Y.M. Inventive, Wan Hai-302 to unload and load containers, Johar to offload crude oil and Royal Imperial to load ethanol were berthed after the departure of as many.

The departing ships were led by Port Estoril, Wan Hai-302, Song Shan, Quetta, Banglar Maya and Mol Ability, while Northern Harmony, Lalazar, Laftah, Royal Imperial, Y.M. Inventive, APL Cairo, Caribbean Carrier and Johar are due to sail out on Thursday.

A total tonnage of 110,000 tons comprising 27,449 tons of export cargo including 9,146 tons of cement and 82,903 tons of import tonnage was handled on Wednesday. The following ships are due on Thursday: Gulf Tiger with oil, Cap Colorado, Francisea Schulte, Sima Sahba, Hanjin Chittagong with containers, Oriental Protea and Keoyoung Prince to ethanol.
