KARACHI, Aug 11: Eight ships carrying containers and coal and to load cement and ethanol are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was relatively slow where four ships, Artimis to load cement, Sederberg to unload and load containers, Song Shan to offload and load general cargo and Port Estoril to unload coal were berthed after the departure of over one dozen ships during the last two days.

The departing ships were led by Calvin P. Titus, Hyundai Duke, Kota Perdana, Sederberg Kapitan Byankin, Far Singapore, Merkur Bridge, Thore Elisabeth and Antaradus, Valiant, Crystal Seas, Bornco Pioneer, Shaheen Al-Ghanim-10, Flag Investors and Patiach.

Ali-16, Fort Estoril, Banglar Maya, Mol Ability and Quetta are due to sail out on Tuesday.

A total tonnage of 159,000 tons comprising 65,962 tons of export cargo and 92,454 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Tuesday: Royal Imperial and Keoyoung Prince to load ethanol, Northern Harmony, Empress Dragon and APL Cario with containers, Avenir to unload coal, Ashraf-B and Salina to load cement.
