GUJRANWALA, Aug 10: Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad has said the impeachment of President Pervez Musharraf will be decided within a week.

Addressing his party workers in Gujranwala on Sunday, he said it was just possible that the president would resign before the counting in a joint session.

Mr Rashid said the president had left with no option but to either face impeachment or resign from his office.

He criticised the coalition government for creating instability in the NWFP and Balochistan provinces.
