Household items and food stored by villagers were also damaged by the floodwater.

Police claimed that Ghulam Rasool Shar was hiding in the forest with his accomplices.

A police party surrounded the area and after an exchange of gunfire, which lasted for two hours, police arrested him with a shotgun and two kilogrammes of charas. However, his accomplices managed to escape.
