LAHORE, Aug 7: A real estate dealer was shot dead at Shafiqabad here on Thursday.

Police said Arif Bhatti, 36, was crossing the road at Kasurpura when two motorcyclists opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. The police said the victim had purchased a disputed property that resulted in enmity with some parties.

Meanwhile, a 27-year-old youth died under ‘mysterious circumstances’ at Gujjarpura. Police said Salman Latif fell unconscious alongside a road soon after he left his Chah Miran residence. The locals took him to the Mayo Hospital where he breathed his last.

Police claimed he might have taken poisonous substance.
