Faizan claims U-17 singles title

ISLAMABAD, Aug 6: Faizan Khurram won the boys U-17 singles event after defeating Sadan ul Haq in the final of the 7th Freedom Cup Junior tennis tournament played at the PTF Tennis Complex on Wednesday.

Faizan beat Sadan in a well contested match 7-6, 6-2. Faizan signing off in style, firing an ace down the middle.

In the boys U-15 fixture

Aqil Khan walloped Wasil Kaleem 6-2, 6-2 and bagged the U-15 title.

Kashan-ul-Haq won the boys U-13 event beating Hamza Mazhar in straight sets 6-0, 6-1. Kashan proved too good against his inexperienced opponent.

Ushna Suhail from Lahore won the girls singles U-17 event when she defeated Meheq Khokhar in straight sets 6-1,6-4.

Boys’ U-17 final: Faizan Khurram bt Sadan ul Haq 7-6, 6-2.

Boys’ U-15 singles final: Aqil Khan bt Wasil Kaleem 6-2, 6-2.

Boys’ U-13 singles final: Kashan ul Haq bt Hamza Mazhar 6-0, 6-1.

Girls’ singles final: Ushna Suhail bt Meheq Khokhar 6-1, 6-4.

Boys’ doubles semi-finals: Jibran ul Haq / Sadan ul Haq bt Zohair Raza / Faizan Khurram 7-6, 1-6,11-9.
