KARACHI, Aug 5: The Sindh Women’s Football Association will shortly be announcing its squad for the forthcoming National Women’s championship to be organised by the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) later in August.
This was announced by Sadia Sheikh, the association’s general secretary, who reached Karachi from Hyderabad on Tuesday after selecting female soccer players.
The girls from Karachi had already been selected to undergo final selection.
Speaking to Dawn, Sadia said: “Some 30 girls, including those from Kotri and Sanghar, appeared in trials at the Qasimabad Sports Complex and we picked eight of them for final selection.”
The selection was carried out by Jamshoro University physical education department head Madam Yasmeen, Hyderabad Football Division vice-president Razaullah Khan, Sindh Sports Board’s Irshad Ali Makhdoom, Sindh Women’s Football official Ayesha Inam, and physical education directress Rehana Bhatti along with the association’s selectors Sadia Sheikh and Hassan Baloch.

Lubna Naz, Sadaf Nayab, Hina Rafiq, Saba Rafiq, Shaista Khan, Hira Khan (Hyderabad); Alishba Nazeer (Kotri); Zoya Nazeer (Sanghar).
