Two fall prey to gastroenteritis

THATTA, Aug 5: Two lost their lives and three fell ill due to the outbreak of gastroenteritis in Karo Khaskheli village of Deh Jararkot in UC Garho during last few days.

Abdul Latif Memon, naib nazim UC Udasi told reporter by phone that baby Meenh Wasai 6, daughter of Yaqoob Khaskheli, and Ms Haju wife of Lakho Khaskheli died due to the disease, while half a dozen patients were waiting to be attended to, because of the lack of official support.

He said basic health unit in coastal town Garho had no medicine and the area required special attention. He said stagnant rainwater, breeding of mosquitoes and contaminated water were major irritants in the area.— Correspondent
