Govt to create jobs: Faryal

By Our Correspondent

LARKANA, Aug 5: The government would soon advertise 1,206 vacancies for primary school teachers in the district to give a chance to the candidates who had secured less than 60 per cent marks in an IBA-conducted test for teachers’ jobs, said MNA Ms Faryal Talpur on Tuesday.

Talking to journalists after distributing 181 offer letters among the candidates who had passed the IBA-test, Ms Talpur, who is sister of Pakistan People’s Party co-chairman, said that already 215 candidates in Qambar-Shahdadkot district had received orders.

She said that merit would rule and disclosed that more jobs in police department would be created. She defended the government’s 100-day performance and said it had inherited a backlog of problems from the previous government.

She was hopeful talks between Asif Zardari and Mian Nawaz Sharif would be successful and the alliance would remain intact.

About the views of Makhdoom Amin Fahim, Senator Dr Safdar Abbasi and Ms Naheed Khan she said they were senior leaders and she respected them.

She said that Larkana Development Package would soon be launched as the first tranche of Rs2.13 billion funds had arrived.
