Japan offers expertise in disaster management

ISLAMABAD, Aug 5: Japanese Ambassador in Pakistan Seiji Kojima on Tuesday said Japan was ready to share its expertise in disaster management with Pakistan.

Talking to Earthquake Reconstruction and Rehabilitation Authority Chairman Erra Altaf M. Saleem he said Japan also had a history of traumatic earthquakes and this was one aspect where Japan and Pakistan could mutually benefit from each others experience.

He said that even after the completion of the on-going projects in the earthquake affected areas, Japan would continue to support Pakistan in the form of disaster management. The Erra Chairman gave a detailed briefing on Erra`s progress.
