MIRAMSHAH, Aug 3: A clash left five tribesmen dead and three others wounded in the Khuziaie village of North Waziristan tribal region on Saturday evening, eyewitnesses said.

Local people said that two groups clashed over ‘staring at each other’ when a crowd started leaving the venue of a football match in the village, some five kilometres west of Miramshah.

Both armed groups started firing at each other. Two brothers were among the dead while three others got injuries, who were shifted to a local hospital.

The deceased were identified as Akhtarullah, Qismatullah, Qader Jan, Rahatullah and Hawaldar Khan. Condition of an injured, Shakerullah, was stated to be critical.—Correspondent
