NAWABSHAH, Aug 3: Candidates who have passed the IBA-test for government schoolteacher jobs held a demonstration outside the local press club demanding appointment offer orders on Sunday.

The protesters led by Ali Asghar Rustamani, Gulan Khan Chutto and Ali Khan Loond said that it was an injustice with them that only those who had obtained 60 per cent marks and above were given offer orders in education department while they had also cleared the tests.

They said that the criteria was adopted to please a certain lobby and to deprive the rural population of Sindh of their right to work.

Girl dies : A young girl died in suspicious circumstances in a village near Gupchani on Sunday. Twenty-year-old Fashia, daughter of Wahid Bux Brohi, died of a bullet wound in Sher Khan Brohi village near Gupchani.

The family members insisted that the girl died when a gun went off by accident, whereas SHO of Gupchani police station Gul Hassan Zardari told journalists that the girl was murdered and police were investigating the case. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem.
