Wasil enters semi-finals

ISLAMABAD, Aug 2: Wasil Kaleem defeated Talal Almas in straight sets in the quarter-finals of the boys’ under-15 event at the seventh Freedom Cup Junior tennis tournament at the PTF Tennis Complex on Saturday.

Kashan-ul-Haq, Abdullah, Hamza Mazhar and S. Nofil Kaleem moved into the semi-finals of boys’ U-13 event after winning their quarter-final matches.

Boys’ U-13 quarter-finals: Kashan-ul-Haq bt Syed Arzanish 6-0, 6-0; Abdullah w/o Asad Raza; Hamza Mazhar bt Khizer Bin Gohar 5-7, 6-2, 6-4; S. Nofil Kaleem bt Ibrahim 6-1,6-1.

Boys’ U-15 quarter-finals: Wasil Kaleem bt Talal Almas 6-0, 6-0; Zain Abid bt Abdal Haider 6-1, 6-1; Aqil Khan bt Ibrahim Imran 6-1, 6-1.

Boys’ U-17 (second round): S. Zohair Raza w/o Awais Afridi; Aqil Khan bt M. Ali Zubair 4-6, 6-1, 7-6; Faizan Khurram bt Farhad Ali Raja 6-2, 7-5; Jibran-ul-Haq bt Imran Khan 6-4, 6-3; Bilal w/o Hamza Haider; Sadan-ul-Haq bt Mohammad Tufail 6-1, 6-1; Zahran Imtiaz w/o Usman Khalil; Ahmed Chaudhry bt Hussain Immam 6-0, 6-1.
