Sukkur board announces SSC results

SUKKUR, Aug 2: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Sukkur announced the results of Annual Examination 2008 of Secondary School Certificate Part-I (Class-IX) Science & General Groups on Saturday.

According to the notification issued by the controller of examinations, Syed Islam Ahmed Shah, in Science Group, total 39,478 (male & female) candidates were registered out of which 39,290 candidates appeared in the examinations. 27,687 candidates passed in 5 subjects, 6921 passed in 4 subjects, 2788 passed in 3 subjects, 1130 passed in 2 subjects, and 364 candidates passed in 1 subject while 114 candidates were declared failed in all subjects.

The result of 248 candidates was withheld for cheating; 27 candidates for query; and 29 candidates for incomplete documents.

Similarly, in General Group, total 2598 (male & female) candidates were registered out of which 2519 candidates appeared in the examinations. 1494 candidates passed in 5 subjects, 658 passed in 4 subjects, 177 passed in 3 subjects, 47 passed in 2 subjects and 28 candidates passed in 1subject while 12 candidates were declared failed in all subjects. The result of 75 candidates was withheld for cheating, 20 candidates due to incomplete documents, and 8 candidates for want of query.
