Clerk not paid for 34 months

By Our Correspondent

NAUSHAHRO FEROZE, Aug 2: An employee of Market Committee Kandiaro started a long march towards Chief Minister House in Karachi along with his seven sons to protest against non-payment of salary for 34 months.

The clerk of Market Committee Kandiaro, Ali Khan Siyal, with his sons carrying the Holy Quran in their hands reached Kandiaro Press Club and staged a demonstration. He threatened to commit self-immolation outside the Chief Minister House if he was not paid salaries of the past 34 months before August 14.

He complained that he and other employees of Market Committee Kandiaro had not received salaries since past 34 months.

He said despite several requests and protests he was not paid on pretext of non-availability of funds. He said he was a father of eight sons and six daughters and was unable to arrange funds for his daughters’ marriages. He said he had no option but to knock the doors of the chief minister for justice.
