PSM player to face ban

By Our Sports Reporter

LAHORE, July 31: Pakistan Steel Mills (SPM) spearhead Mohammad Akram will face a one-match ban for indiscipline during his team’s Pakistan Premier football league match against Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) on Wednesday at the Korangi Baloch Stadium. PIA won the match 4-2.

A PFF press release issued here on Thursday stated: “Akram went into the second session of the thriller with a yellow card against his name and was then dismissed for a second offence in the 71st minute.

“I by myself booked him a few seconds before the interval for a reckless challenge and his behaviour was too hideous when he used abusive language against Swat-based assistant referee Mohammad Amin following an off-side signal,” said referee Shafaat Habib.
