HYDERABAD: Warning to teachers


HYDERABAD, July 31: Habitual absentee teachers or those proceeded on ex-Pakistan leave have been asked to join their duties from Aug 1, failing which action will be taken against them under the Removal From Service Ordinance 2000.

The warnings were issued by the District Education Officer Syed Muzaffar Ali Shah and DO Elementary Nusrat Kalhoro, on Thursday in a handout.

It further stated that the 76 closed schools of the district would be made functional from August along with placing a monitoring system up to Union Council level to check the attendance of teachers.

Besides, opinion leaders of area had been invited to patronise and monitor performance of schools located in their neighbourhood.

They said that complaint centres were also being set up where visitor book would be maintained under the directives of Senior Sindh Minister for Education for parents to lodge complaints regarding the performance of schools and quality of education.—Correspondent
