KARACHI: Minister urges CDGK not to interfere

KARACHI, July 30: Sindh Minister for Education Pir Mazharul Haq has told the city government not to exceed its ambit and desist from interfering in the affairs of the provincial government.

In a statement issued here on Wednesday, he rejected the criticism by the members of the city council in its recent meeting over the appointment of Abdul Ghani as EDO Education.

Terming the criticism “interference in the affairs of the provincial government”, Pir Mazhar said this would not be allowed.

He made it clear that appointment and transfer of EDOs and teachers was the prerogative of the provincial government.

He said he would take up the issue with the Sindh governor and the coordination committee of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement.—APP
