KARACHI, July 30: Nine ships carrying palm oil and raw jute and to load molasses and clinkers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources.

Berthing activity at the wharves was brisk where five ships, Bunga Teratai-3, Lucky Man, APL Dalian and Sima Sahba to unload and load general cargo and Q.S.M. Sharjah to unload and load general cargo were berthed after the departure of eight.

The departing ships were led by Cosco Lian Yun Gang, Sinar Bintan, Bunga Teratai-3, Qusar, Tiheroula, Bow Cheetah and Oriental Marguerite, while APL Dalian, Lucky Man, Bulk Arrow, Sima Sahba, APL Shenzhen and Hansa Liberty are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity was modest at the wharves shrinking to 59,276 tons comprising 31,214 tons of export and 28,062 tons of import tonnage.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Golden Oceania to load molasses, Bunga Melati-6 with 8,000 tons of palm oil, Banglar Maya with 9,752 tons of raw jute, Devi Glory to load clinker, Hyundai Admiral, Global Progress, Oel Tranworld, Tenth Ocean and Tower Bridge with containers.
