Constable killed

QUETTA, July 29: A police constable was killed by three gunmen here on Tuesday. A head constable and three passersby were injured.

Capital City Police Officer Mohammad Akbar described it as target killing and identified the deceased as Ahmed Sher.

According to hospital sources, head constable Mohammad Younus was in a serious condition. Doctors said that the injured civilians, Shakeel Ahmed, Nazir Ahmed and Mohammad Rehan, were in a stable condition. According to police sources, the policemen were on duty at the intersection of Gordat Singh Road and Prince Road when they were attacked.—Staff Correspondent
